What is Plastic Waste Management?

PLASTIC GRANULES |HDPE|LDPE|LLDPE|PP GRANULES

Worldwide Plastics Issue As of 2021, Nearly 8.3 billion metric tons of plastic Products had been produced worldwide. Total Production of 40% is used in packaging and single-use items industry that are thrown away relatively quickly.

Only near to 9% of these discarded materials were recycled globally, the rest disposed of 12% was incinerated, and 79% ended up in our landfills or open environment.

The annual estimate of plastic entering our oceans globally from the portion of this waste that is mismanaged on land is 5–13 million metric tons per year, which is equal to a dumping truck of plastic waste in the ocean per minute.

If this plastic is recycled and converted into plastic granules, it creates a tremendous opportunity for the plastic industry.

Types of Plastic Waste Management.

1  Reduce–Lowering the number of Plastic waste Products.

2  Reuse–Using Materials Repeatedly.

3 Recycle–Using materials to make new products.

4 Recovery–Recovering energy from waste.

What is Plastic Recycling?

There is plastic all around us. Drinking bottles, grocery & Poly Bags, to your ID card, we see and use plastic day to day. Many of those plastics come from materials like petrochemicals. This quantity of plastic around us can have advantages and drawbacks.

Plastic can cause various pollution within the environment. Also, if you are doing not correctly manage plastic and produce new ones is often a waste of resources. Because of this, it is reasonable to reuse and reprocess plastic to stop hazardous effects on nature.

Plastic Recycling process

plastic recycling is an important procedure for manufacturing plastic granules to produce and manufacture a variety of plastic products.

We show the way plastic is recycled and why recycling is very beneficial for humans and therefore the environment.

Plastic recycling is the method of gathering waste plastic and reconverting it to new and useful plastic products. The planet produces and makes use of quite a trillion pounds of plastic material. Plastic recycling is the best remedy to confirm that this massive amount of plastic doesn’t attend waste. Instead, you’ll reprocess the materials to urge other products.

Common Recycled Plastics

The maximum plastic we come across in our day-to-day lives is recyclable.  These are some of the most common plastic types that you can recycle.

Types of plastic waste for recycling.

HDPE (High-Density Poly Ethylene)

PP (Polypropylene).

LPDE (Low-Density Poly Ethylene).

LLPDE (Linear Low-Density Poly Ethylene).

PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) is a well-known thermoplastic.

PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) is another thermoplastic.

However, you cannot recycle all types of plastic. The reason is that plastic products come from different types of materials. Because of this, it is uneconomical to recycle these materials.

Usually, this is because of the long process or the high cost. Also, the ineffectiveness of the existing recycling process methods.

Major Step for recycling

1 Collection of Waste Plastic

2 Sorting of Plastics into Categories

3 Washing to Remove Impurities

4 Shredding and Resizing

5 Identification and Separation of Plastics

6 Compounding

Benefits of recycling plastic waste.

Plastic recycling reduces the quantity of the trash that reason for land & water Pollution

The plastic recycling process creates additional revenue for the government and private organizations and creates an opportunity for the plastic industry.

Recycling plastic reduces the discharge of CO2 and harmful gases into the environment.

Plastic recycling conserves the space used in landfills. The recycling process makes it possible to use those landfills for various other purposes.

Recycling saves petroleum that producers may use for plastic product manufacturing.

Plastic recycling saves the energy and time that manufacturers consume in creating new products.

 Plastic recycling prevents heating.

Plastic recycling reduces the emergence of many pollutions.

Plastic recycling provides income opportunities for volunteers who collect plastic waste and supply recycling units.

 Plastic recycling creates new jobs.

Plastic recycling helps decrease activities like deforestation and save the nature that happens for plastic production

Plastics are very light in weight and can be molded into various shapes and sizes for various manufacturing applications.

The amazing physical and chemical properties of plastics products have made this material highly in demand by millions of users worldwide.

During the manufacturing process of recycling plastic, it goes under various chemical and testing processes to maintain high-quality production.

We used recycled plastic granules that are manufactured from various plastic waste in various product manufacturing.

Types of Plastic Granules

Number 1 – High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) In 1953, German Chemists Karl Ziegler & Erhard Holzkamp used catalysts and low pressure to create high-density polyethylene. HDPE was used for pipes, DWC pipes, heavy-duty pipes in storm sewers, drains, and culverts. HDPE  plastic granules are used in a wide variety of products.

Number 2 – Polypropylene (PP) plastic granules  J. Paul Hogan and Robert L. Phillips Petroleum Company discovered polypropylene in 1951. During the research, they were simply trying to convert propylene into gasoline,  accidentally discovered a new variant of PP plastic granules.

PP plastic granules are used for Auto–components, Chairs & Crates, and various other manufacturing

Number 3 – Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) LDPE Plastic Granules It has less mass than HDPE, which is why it’s considered a separate material for recycling.

LDPE plastic granules were used for ACP Sheets, Carry bags, Tripaal manufacturing.

Number 4 – Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) Plastic Granules with much more flexibility, tensile strength, and more conformability. It is more pliable and softer LLDPE plastic granules were used for Roto molding, Water Tank, and various other applications.
