Types of Plastic Granules

Number 1 – High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) In 1953, German Chemists Karl Ziegler & Erhard Holzkamp used catalysts and low pressure to create high-density polyethylene. HDPE was used for pipes, DWC pipes, heavy-duty pipes in storm sewers, drains, and culverts. HDPE  plastic granules are used in a wide variety of products.

Number 2 – Polypropylene (PP) plastic granules  J. Paul Hogan and Robert L. Phillips Petroleum Company discovered polypropylene in 1951. During the research, they were simply trying to convert propylene into gasoline,  accidentally discovered a new variant of PP plastic granules.

PP plastic granules are used for Auto–components, Chairs & Crates, and various other manufacturing

Number 3 – Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) LDPE Plastic Granules It has less mass than HDPE, which is why it’s considered a separate material for recycling.

LDPE plastic granules were used for ACP Sheets, Carry bags, Tripaal manufacturing.

Number 4 – Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) Plastic Granules with much more flexibility, tensile strength, and more conformability. It is more pliable and softer LLDPE plastic granules were used for Roto molding, Water Tank, and various other applications.
